LULAC and Ford Motor Company Fund partner through their Councils in NY 23055 and CT 713 with Brooklyn College, Vaughn College, Caring and Loving Foundation and ISSO to offer conferences and scholarships to Latino students

The scholarships will provide students with the opportunity to participate in the LULAC National Convention and visit universities

(LULAC) and Ford Motor Company Fund have partnered through their Conciliis NY 23055 and CT 713 with Vaughn College, Brooklyn College & BC Graduate Center, Caring and Loving Foundation and ISSO to offer lectures and scholarships to Latino high school students.

The scholarship program aims to increase college graduation and enrollment rates among Latino students. Through this initiative, LULAC and Ford Fund will support innovative, world-class programs that help boost STEAM academic achievement, high school and promote university enrollment.

The scholarship program is open to Latino high school students who are interested in pursuing higher education. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate a strong commitment to the community. The scholarship includes (airfare, Caesar Palaces hotel and participation in all non-legislative activities of the Convention.) The call for scholarships for high school students (grades 11 and 12) to attend the 2024 LULAC National Convention, which will take place May 27 and 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

REQUIREMENTS:

1- Register.

2- Write a letter to LULAC Concilios NY & CT indicating why you want to win the scholarship for the National Convention and WHAT you can do for your community, or at school to support actions to help other students pursue a STEAM university career.

3- Participate in the private tour to Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology, the visit University date is June 06 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

4- Participate in the webinar and Press release with CUNY Brooklyn College, ISSO and Caring, Loving Foundation, which will take place on May 29 at 7:00 PM, via zoom.

5- Visit the United Nations headquarters during the month of June.
