El señor Rocco Latella, dio a conocer el día de ayer su postulación como alcalde de la villa de Port Chester.
Latella aseguró que luchará para que las nuevas generaciones logren encontrar el apoyo para los problemas que ellos no lograban resolver anteriormente.
“Muchos de nosotros emigramos a este país, muchos de nosotros crecimos aquí y criamos los valores familiares de nuestros hijos para que puedan transmitirlos a sus hijos. Necesitamos asegurarnos de que nuestros hijos no tengan que solucionar problemas que nosotros no pudimos”.
También demandó la problemática que Port Chester está viviendo desde hace tiempo atrás, “Estoy profundamente preocupado por el futuro de nuestra villa. Nuestro pueblo se encuentra en una encrucijada seria y necesitamos avanzar, no retroceder. Nuestra base impositiva no ha crecido lo suficiente para satisfacer nuestras necesidades. Nuestros impuestos, especialmente los impuestos escolares sobre los que Village no tiene control, son una carga seria para los propietarios de nuestras casas” demandó Latella.
De esta forma, Latella, aseguró que trabajará por restaurar la actividad económica en Port Chester.
“Mi primera prioridad es restaurar la actividad económica en nuestra villa. Haré todo lo posible para eliminar la Nube Negra, la ‘zona naranja’ que ha sido impuesta por el gobernador a Port Chester para que podamos volver a encarrilar el comercio”.
Los trabajos y las empresas ponen dinero en los bolsillos de nuestros residentes, que se gasta en nuestra villa. Esto nos ayuda a pagar los impuestos necesarios para cubrir las necesidades de nuestra aldea, como policía, bomberos y saneamiento. Con nuestra base impositiva limitada, todavía tenemos muchas necesidades. No buscamos folletos, buscamos oportunidades para trabajar. También debemos ser lo suficientemente responsables como para no llegar al punto de establecer disputas a través de costosas demandas que hagan retroceder financieramente a la villa y sus contribuyentes” denunció Latella.
Así mismo, Latella, reafirmó su compromiso con la villa de Port Chester, de trabajar arduamente por ser una voz que luche por la villa.
“Esta elección. Me postulo para agregar una voz que prometa trabajar con la junta para llegar a un consenso sobre nuestros temas importantes como la aplicación del código y la planificación. Desarrollo inteligente, estacionamiento, policía, recolección de basura y mamparo. De igual forma el Consejal Alex Payán, fue nominado como vicealcalde de la villa de Port Chester, Payán es una de las personas que más trabaja por la comunidad, en busca de lo mejor para sus habitantes.
