Margarita, una niña de 14 años con malformación congénita viajará desde Perú a Nueva York para ser operada

Margarita Guerra nació el 15 de abril de 2008, a los 7 meses de embarazo, su madre, Zenaida Cruzado, ya sabía que su pequeña tenía una malformación congénita en el cuello y la cara.

Margarita nació en el hospital Guillermo almenara en la ciudad de Lima, Perú. A los 3 meses de nacida le realizaron su primer cirugía para retirar parte de su malformación facial colocándole un tubo de traqueotomía para que ella pueda respirar mejor y pueda ingerir una alimentación con una sonda. A partir de esto Margarita se queda a vivir en el hospital hasta los 18 meses, durante este tiempo, los doctores someten a cirugía a la pequeña para retirar una parte de la malformación que estaba invadiendo su lengua lo cual no le permitía hablar, a los dos años Margarita fue sometida a otra cirugía de emergencia por una inflamación e infección en su cara.

Durante muchos años, el caso de Margarita ha sido debatido por médicos en el Hospital Rebagliati en Lima, para valorar que sea tratada en otro país pero nunca se llegó a un acuerdo concreto, perdiendo esta pobre niña mucho tiempo de poder mejorar su calidad de vida .

Este año, gracias a la intervención de fundación Caring & Loving Foundation en coordinación con el hospital Lincoln y su equipo de especialistas, Margarita recibirá la atención requerida para su tratamiento y proceso de cirugía.

Las cirugías se realizarán a Margarita de forma gratuita, brindando toda la atención necesaria durante las múltiples cirugías requerida por el estado de La Niña.

Además, la fundación brindará la gestión de todos los trámites legales para que desde Perù, pueda viajar a Nueva York y realizar las múltiples cirugías que implica su condición. Paso a paso le iremos informando con lo que pase con Margarita.

Por este motivo se realizan un sinnúmero de actividades para realizar obtener fondos, y entregar la ayuda recibida para el tratamiento y estadía de Margarita y su mamá, entre las que destacan un evento especial con Mujeres Destacadas de nuestra comunidad, titulado “Tarde de Sombreros“.
